For years the founder poured drinks that didn't hold up. That frustration turned into six months on the road with partner Mia, visiting farms in Ethiopia and Colombia and learning how green coffee actually becomes something worth drinking.
Back in Brooklyn, they found an 800-sq-ft storefront on Atlantic Ave and opened in 2019 with one machine and 14 seats. The roaster is a 1959 Probat trucked in from a shop in Pittsburgh that was closing its doors. It runs every week.
The menu is short on purpose. Three single-origins in a flight, espresso on a house blend, bags roasted that week. If you want to go deeper, the monthly brewing workshops are where that happens.
